I’ve been living with the ghost of this book for about four years now and finally it has become a reality. I couldn’t just start writing it when I thought about it because I was deep into the Claire Gulliver mysteries and I just couldn’t stop what I was writing and move on to a new person and new story, abandoning Claire. And eventually I started the Glenda books, I then had to identify and develop the characters, the action and the plot. So I’ve been immersed in Glenda, the central coast of Oregon and Zylda for a long time now. In fact my mind is already working out the events in the next book.
However, I’m very interested as to whether or not the readers who have enjoyed my Claire Gulliver mysteries will also like my Glenda stories. These new books have an element of the spiritual in them. I hadn’t planned it to be there at the beginning but Zylda had always been an intended victim. Unfortunately, by the time the crime was to happen I had come to be so fond of Zylda I didn’t want her to die. So I did what an old friend suggested, I had her come back from the other side. It makes an entirely different story but I like it and I can hardly wait to see what happens next.
I invite you to send your comments which I will consider as I’m writing the next adventure and hopefully the end results will end up with something we both like. Meanwhile, happy reading.

Gayle, you had posted a message to me on one of the Amazon forums, so I came here to chat. I haven’t read Murder Most Mysterious but it sounds like something I would like. I just love cozy ghost and cozy psychic reads but I find that there aren’t that many out there. I just find both subjects fascinating and I could read those type of books all day every day. I don’t know if I’m in the minority or not, I’m hoping there are a lot of people who enjoy these types of books. I would love to read your book and as soon as I replenish my book-buying funds, I will. Please e-mail me with any questions you might want to ask or just to chat. thanks for posting to me in the forum, letting me know about your book and look forward to talking again. Mary
Mary, My paranormal books just happened and now I’m in the same position as Glenda, my heroine. I’m not sure how much I believe but things keep happening, in my book anyway. I was thinking of starting a new forum called paranormal mysteries. I know there are others but I’m not sure how many or where they are. I know, for instance that Sue Jaffarian writes a series with the Ghost of Granny Apples and some others are out there. Perhaps you have recommendations too.
The one problem I have is I don’t think the ghost (or Spirit) can cheat the reader by solving the mystery, but they can help. So I’m taking it slow in writing this one because anything I write becomes true for this series and I will have to live with it through every adventure.
My new book has Glenda and her friend, Zylda, attending the American Psychic Academy in Berkeley CA. I hope it will be as interesting to the readers as it is being for me to write. Talk to you later.
